History
of Community Ministries, Inc. Community Ministries, Inc. (CMI) is a unique ministry established in 1977 to meet the needs of the non-traditional mission/ministry callings of God.
The early founders of Community Ministries had a heart for sharing the gospel message with the City of Tempe, ASU students and faculty, and groups who did not receive the "Good News" due to the absence of a ministry vehicle.
Filled with a passion to reach international students and a desire for a Christian bookstore, teaching and training center, Elmer Hiebert and the CMI Board agreed to support the efforts of Quo Vadis Books.
International Students, Faculty and Staff, Tempe Pastors, Physically Challenged Students, Athletes, Non-Traditional Missionary (Domestic and Foreign) are all godly efforts operating under the Community Ministries umbrella. To God be the Glory for all He is accomplishing under the CMI structure.
